They say the beauty is in the details... this ring is a great example. The band is made from three wires, a central larger one with a hammered tecture and attaches firmly to the underside of the bezel, and two narrow square wires are on the outside. The outer square wires swoop around the opal in a double helix like shape, and then reattach to the ring with small little globes of silver bridging the gaps.
the inside has been smoothed and polished and all sharp edges have been removed, making this ring surprisingly comfortable.
The opal itslef is a milky orb of fire, mostly greens, reds and purples. At over 9 carats, it is a whopper for stones of this type!
One of a kind, Opal is also the birthstone for October.
