This particular opal is the cream of the crop.  Full color play across the surface, with lots of reds, greens and purples.

This is a solid opal, and is slightly transparent.  There is a small hole drilled in the back of the band so you can see the back of the opal. This is also a crystal black opal, so under the right light, you can see through the stone.
