A petite little pear cabochon of chocolate opal. Great fire in this one. Just a small hairline surface crack at the base. Easily visible in the pictures. Please watch the movie for a better idea of the fire in this stone.

A stunning chocolate opal. No hairline cracks, no crazing. Purchased from a fellow who had them in his stock for a few years. I re-polished this one to get a good shin on it and to create an even rim all the way around so it is now ready to set.

In an effort to fill out our Opal collection, we are presenting to you this excellent rare Louisiana Opal from the Vernon Parish Area.

This is a quartzite based opal, meaning it is quite strong and durable. The base color of the stone is tan and the fire appears as purple or green flashes across the face of the stone.

A huge Mexican opal. Retrieved from a piece of vintage estate jewelry. The stone was in very good condition, just a few scratches on the surface from wear over the years. I re-polished the stone and now it is in near perfect condition. No cracks or crazing at all.

There is a small pit on the side, about half way up. It is visible in the video.

Polished front ant back with beveled edges. Ready to be set. Stones this large from this area are very rare.
